Anxiety disorders are by far the most common conditions that I see. It’s an area in which I’m experienced, well qualified, specialise in and thoroughly enjoy. The results are predictable which makes my job very satisfying indeed.
Anxiety can affect concentration, sleep, work performance, relationships, health and make life difficult. For some, the cause of their anxiety is unknown to them, for others the cause may be quite apparent.
The trouble is that once we begin to suffer from any sort of anxiety our self- esteem and confidence can reduce; worrying and negative thinking patterns increase and our life becomes far more limited and less enjoyable.
It may interest you to know that I suffered from anxiety in in the past, so I can truly empathise with you. I know how horrible it is. How the whole cycle of intrusive and unwanted thoughts, anxious feelings and physical responses feed on themselves, spiral and become overwhelming, dis-empowering and lead to such misery.
There are several recognised types of anxiety disorders, including:
Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.), Specific Phobias, Health Anxiety.
The good news is that whatever the nature of your anxiety and whatever the causes and triggers – anxiety has a proven track record in responding very well to Advanced Hypnotherapy, N.L.P. and Mindfulness. Using a combination of these therapies – you can have the resources to feel calm, confident, in control and feel more optimistic about the future.
How can Anxiety be treated by Hypnotherapy?
The subconscious is the part of the mind that stores all your experiences with associated emotions, learned habits, limiting beliefs and behaviours. It’s also the part that is responsible for protecting us. The emotion that drives anxiety is fear, so anxiety is a natural response because your subconscious is protecting you from a perceived danger. The trouble is, it’s as though the “red alert” signal is set to go off at a very low and inappropriate level.
Hypnosis is a perfect state for discovery and learning. It enables you to communicate with the subconscious, to re-set the red alert signal to a more healthy level. You can discover and release what was driving your anxious state and replace old habits of thinking and unwanted responses with useful thought and behaviour patterns. You practice these new and preferred ways of thinking and behaving by listening to the recordings which are provided, repetition reinforces the therapy.
The process is safe, effective, enjoyable and really quite empowering for you. It’s a source of immense satisfaction to me when client’s leave feeling free from those old, unwanted fears and responses that restricted their enjoyment of life in the past.
My approach is open, friendly and empathetic, you can be at ease to be yourself and there’s plenty time allocated to each client so that we can complete whatever it is that needs addressing at each session. I work in a logical, methodical way with sensitivity, at a pace and using methods which suits you.
Of course life will still throw challenges your way but you’ll be more able to deal with them in a much more calm and resourceful way.
