Hypnotherapy - In person and on-line via Zoom

It’s well documented that Hypnotherapy is a very useful tool for the relief and control of pain.

You can learn how to change the way that you perceive pain messages so that the intensity is reduced and alter your emotional responses to pain.

Acute Pain is necessary for our survival; it’s a signal that tells us there is a problem or injury that needs attention. It also acts as a reminder, when we have an existing injury, to take care and not do anything that could make the injury worse.

Chronic pain on the other hand has pretty much outlived its usefulness as far as survival is concerned; it requires effective management so that life can be lived to the full.

However, it is extremely important not to turn off or reduce pain without first identifying the cause. The pain could be a symptom of a serious underlying problem.

So essential to consult with and have a diagnosis from your doctor before making an appointment to treat pain using hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy has been successfully used with: osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, shingles, low back, shoulder and neck pain, trigeminal neuralgia, headaches including migraine, temporo-mandibular joint disorder (TMJ), myofascial pain syndrome, postoperative pain, stump and phantom limb pain, ME / chronic fatigue syndrome, cancer pain, gout, IBS The good news is that most pain will respond to hypnotherapy, whatever the cause, with practice.

It’s probably not surprising that I’ve such an interest in pain management given my background in nursing. This brings an underpinning knowledge of medical conditions and expertise in emotionally supporting those who have been affected by trauma and illness.
